Bedtime Stories: What they mean for schooling

In order to make the fifth entry on your blogs, you will have to read the article posted as "Bedtime Stories Article" under handouts and view the two videos under bookmarks.

1. In the videos, look for the features of storytelling and reflect on them. 

2. Summarize the Russian story.

3. Please comment in your blogs on how bedtime stories, so common in the middle class household, prepare children for school. This information comes from the article.

In honor of Black History month, I am posting two beautiful poems by Langston Hughes, the first of which relates to our topic of equity and freedom from bias, and the second which picks up the theme of Valentine's Day.
